KEYTONE / STATIC LABS

Privacy Policy

Effective September 30, 2026. This policy covers KeyTone: Offline AI Keyboard for Android, published by Static Labs.

Text and AI processing

KeyTone reads the text you type or choose to rewrite so it can provide keyboard input, spelling suggestions, autocorrect, slide typing, and tone rewrites. Its AI model and dictionary run on your device. Static Labs does not receive your keystrokes, selected text, drafts, or AI prompts. KeyTone does not send them to a cloud AI service.

When you choose to copy a suggestion, Android places that text on the device clipboard. When you choose to insert a rewrite, Android passes it to the app you are using. That app's privacy practices then apply.

Information stored on your device

KeyTone stores your theme, typing preferences, free rewrite count, purchase status, and the offline model on your device. It does not maintain a history of what you type. If the app crashes, it may save a local technical crash report to help you diagnose the problem; the report does not intentionally include typed messages. You can copy that report yourself from settings. KeyTone disables Android app backup for its local data. Uninstalling the app removes its local data, subject to Android's normal behavior.

Purchases and Google Play

The optional KeyTone Pro upgrade uses Google Play Billing. Google processes payment and may provide purchase information to the app so KeyTone can verify and restore access. Static Labs does not receive your payment card details through KeyTone. Google's privacy policy governs information processed by Google Play.

Ads, accounts, and analytics

KeyTone has no advertising, account sign-in, or in-app analytics. The keyboard's offline AI features work without an internet connection after installation. Google Play and Android may process installation, update, purchase, and platform diagnostic data under their own policies.
