Ledgeria is a local-first ledger app published by Static Labs. It has no Static Labs account, bank connection, or advertising SDK. Version 1.6 and later use manual encrypted backup through Android file selection or sharing. Ledgeria does not connect directly to your cloud account or upload automatically.
Information handled on your device
Ledgeria can store transactions, balances, budgets, categories, notes, tax fields, receipt images, extracted receipt text, settings, backup-health times, optional profile information, customer contact details, job descriptions, quotes, invoices, deposits, partial payments, due dates, and document settings. These records are encrypted in app-private storage. Static Labs does not receive them.
If you enable payment capture and grant Android notification access, Android gives Ledgeria broad access to notifications. Ledgeria filters for supported Google Wallet and Google Pay notifications, processes recognizable English payment alerts locally, and stores encrypted drafts containing an amount, currency, direction, source app, and time. It does not retain full notification messages, merchant names, or account details. Capture is optional and off by default.
Camera, files, biometrics, and sharing
You may take or select receipt images and PDFs. Ledgeria copies chosen receipts into encrypted local storage and uses Google ML Kit text recognition on-device. Biometric authentication, when enabled, is handled by Android. When you export or share a backup, CSV, JSON, Excel workbook, quote, invoice, or receipt, the destination app or storage provider you choose controls that copy.
Manual backup (version 1.6 and later)
Manual backup covers Personal and Business records, including Shopping & Plans, jobs and attachments. Choose a file location or destination app. Compatible cloud providers may appear when installed and signed in; otherwise save locally and upload through your provider. Passwords are entered for each backup and are not retained. Weekly reminders appear within Ledgeria; they do not trigger uploads. Opening the sharing menu is not proof of delivery.
Earlier versions: optional Google Drive backup
The following describes the previous integration. Version 1.6 disables scheduled uploads and removes the locally saved account and backup password. It does not delete existing remote recovery copies or automatically revoke prior access.
Drive backup is available for both Personal and Business records. When you connect your Google account, Ledgeria requests access only to its own hidden application-data area in your Drive. It uses that access to upload encrypted backup snapshots and find or download your existing Ledgeria backups. It does not request access to your other Drive files.
Backups include your Ledgeria records, settings, jobs, customer details, and attachments. They are encrypted on your device with your recovery password before upload. Your selected account and recovery password are stored in encrypted local app storage so scheduled backups can run. The recovery password is not sent to Google or Static Labs. Google receives the encrypted file, file metadata, and the account and network information needed to provide Drive. Static Labs does not operate a backup server or receive your backup contents.
Automatic backup runs approximately daily when Android permits. This is backup and restore, not continuous two-way synchronization. Restoring is a separate action that you review. Keep your recovery password: Static Labs cannot recover it for you.
Turn off automatic backup in Ledgeria to stop scheduled uploads and remove the locally retained recovery password. You can revoke Ledgeria access in your Google account. Previously uploaded copies remain in Drive until you remove the app data through Drive settings. Backups use your own Drive storage allowance.
Ledgeria's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Network connections and third parties
- Google Drive: provides the optional backup storage described above, under your Google account and Google privacy policy.
- Google Play Billing: handles the optional Business Pro purchase. Ledgeria stores signed purchase information locally to verify and restore access. Ledgeria does not receive or store your payment-card details. Personal features remain free.
- ExchangeRate-API: receives a standard network request, including your IP address, only when rates are refreshed. Ledgeria does not include transactions, receipts, balances, or profile data in this request.
- Google ML Kit: Google documents collection of SDK diagnostics and usage metrics such as app/device information, installation identifiers, API events, and performance. Receipt images and recognized text are not sent to Google by the on-device text-recognition feature.
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Retention and deletion
Records remain on your device until you delete them, clear app storage, or uninstall Ledgeria. Pending payment drafts can be deleted in the app. Portable backups remain wherever you saved or shared them and must be deleted there separately. Archived business documents remain stored until removed through an available deletion or reset action. Drive backups are separate copies and remain after uninstalling; manage those copies in Drive. Static Labs has no server copy to delete.
Security
Ledgeria uses Android Keystore-backed encryption for local records and password-based encryption for portable backups. No system can guarantee absolute security. Protect your unlocked device and backup password.
Children
Ledgeria is not directed to children under 13 and is intended for general financial record keeping by adults.
